Electron Configurations

Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle: Delta x X Delta p >= h

Pauli's Exclusion Principle: No two electrons in any atom can have the same set of four quantum numbers.

Hund's Rule: The order of filling degenerate orbitals (i.e. equal energy) in an atom (or molecule) is such that as many electrons remain unpaired as possible.

Aufbau Principle: The orbitals are filled with the electrons, starting from the orbital with the lowest energy and assigning at most two electrons to any orbital.
