Cubic
Science, Inc.
was founded in 1996 by a group of scientists who had been working
with sophisticated computer learning models at the California Institute
of Technology's Computer Simulation Center.
They felt that they could address the problem of the United States
ranking last in the world in science and math education, by bringing
new methods of teaching to the student via the home computer. It is
Cubic Science's mission to see that all children are properly prepared
to fulfill the demands of the hi-tech future by using these methods
to learn science and math.
In order to reach today's student, Cubic Science made a commitment
to use the latest computer technology to create exciting and stimulating
educational products. Cubic Science's educational "games" engage children's
natural curiosity, thereby helping them to better learn and understand
math and science. Our goal is to inspire a child's passion to explore
and to encourage interactive participation in the learning process.
Our software demonstrates scientifically accurate principles by creating
3-D interactive experiments in a multimedia, virtual reality environment.
Each product also includes full tutorial support, review problems,
glossaries, original music, and film clips to add to the educational
experience. Students are periodically quizzed to verify their comprehension
of the science principles taught.
By providing virtual reality based products, Cubic Science utilizes
technology previously reserved only for college campuses and research
laboratories. Now, these technologies are available for anyone with
an average level Pentium or Macintosh computer. List of Schools Using
